Travel Guidelines

Amtrak

Amtrak is a convenient alternative to air travel within the northeast and mid-Atlantic corridor. Amtrak trains arrive in Union Station in downtown Washington, DC (just north of the Capitol building). Taxis, MetroBuses and the Metro Red Line are available from Union Station to your final destination.

MARC

The MARC commuter trains are available within Maryland. Service includes Baltimore and Perryville to the northeast, and Frederick, Martinsburg, Rockville and Silver Spring to the northwest. The Penn, Camden, and Brunswick lines all converge on Union Station in downtown Washington, DC (just north of the Capitol building). Taxis, MetroBuses and the Metro Red Line are available from Union Station to your final destination.

Directions to the Conference Venue

The workshop will take place at the Waterview Conference Center in Arlington, VA.
The Hotel Palomar is a couple of blocks from the Rosslyn Station Bus Bay (served by the 38B line, and the 5A line, among others) and the Rosslyn Metro stop (served by the Blue and Orange lines). For further details, please check the WMATA Trip Planner.
