Accessibility

Mediasite Viewer supports closed-captions and all text and Viewer controls can be read with screen readers such as GW Micro Window-Eyes®. Closed captioning is available only with Internet Explorer.

Display closed-captioning

  1. Click Show Captioning to display closed-captions below the presentation's video.
  2. Click Hide Captioning to hide closed-captions.

Note: The closed-captions buttons only appear in presentations with this feature added.

Text slide list

Chapters

Display text that can be read by screen readers in place of slide images by viewing the slides as slide descriptions, text slide lists, or chapters:

  • Click Text Slide List to view a presentation's images as a list.
  • Click Slide Descriptions to view text descriptions of the slide images.
  • Click Chapters to view a an organized list of key parts of a presentation.
  • Note: If you are using GW Micro Window-Eyes as your screen reader, go to the General menu in the Window-Eyes application, turn the MSAA Application Mode option off, and turn the Auto Speak Tooltips option on.
