LBSC 690 Section 0301 Homework 4

As the newly appointed Director of the Anchorage Public Library
System, you have decided to retain a consultant to completely redesign
your public Web site.  Your goal is to create a public Web presence
that will meet the needs of, and be usable by, the full range of
library Patrons in the Anchorage area.  Your current Online Public
Access Catalog (OPAC) will, however, not be changed; your new Web site
will link to your OPAC, but those functions will not be redesigned.
Your staff has identified four consultants that offer Web design
services in the Anchorage area, and each has submitted a sample of
their previous work for your review.

For each sample, write a one-paragraph critique identifying the best
features of that Web site and the features of the site that are most
problematic from an HCI design perspective.  Once you have done that,
state which consultant you would prefer (if the proposed cost and
schedule are suitable), and why.  The entire homework need not be
longer than a page.
