Assignment G6 - Metadata Example

This homework is due before the start of the class session indicated on the syllabus. Partial credit may be awarded.

Choose only one of the following tasks:

  1. Create a metadata record for one item in your collection using RDA. This assignment will be most appropriate for collections that contain published works, but you may apply it to any item in any collection if you wish.
  2. Create a metadata record for one part of one collection using DACS. This assignment will be most appropriate for collections that contain at least one coherent set of unpublished materials, but you may apply it to any coherent part of any collection.
In either case, you should record your results as element name, colon, element value, and you should separate elements by a blank line. The elements may be listed in any (reasonable) order. For example: 
Author: Herman Melville

Title: Moby Dick
